MSc/PhD
The department offers a strong Microbiology and Immunology program emphasizing application of modern molecular techniques to research in virology and immunology, as well as providing basic training in microbiology. Active areas of research include the molecular basis of viral and bacterial pathogenesis, vaccine development, environmental virology, cellular immunology, and tumour biology. The department is a participating unit in the following collaborative programs: Bioinformatics (MSc).
