MA/MCA/PhD

Criminology focuses on the scientific analysis of criminalisation processes and social control issues. The MA program focuses on criminological theory and research and provides the groundwork for those aiming to work in a university setting. The MCA program focuses on practice and provides professional education for those who wish to make a career in correctional services and the administration of justice. At the PhD level, the field is divided into two areas. The first addresses the process by means of which criminal justice policies are created and developed. The second concerns the theoretical and empirical analysis of the implementation of such policies. This program also collaborates in the Women’s Studies program (MA).
