Information Fair – University Centre

Concourse A + B (1st floor) + Terminus (2nd floor)
10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Representatives from each of our 10 faculties as well as services such as the International Office, Office of Campus Sustainability, Protection Services, Student Academic Success Service (SASS) and the Centre for Global and Community Engagement will be present all day to answer questions and show what each has to offer graduate students at uOttawa.

 

Bilingual information presentations

Times:

Representatives from the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies will present key information about the admission process and scholarships and funding, as well, there will be short presentations from the Student Academic Success Service (SASS) and the university library about their outstanding resources just for graduate students, such as Grad Mentors, Academic Writing Help Centre, and the 6t. A Q&A period will follow the presentations.

Duration: approx 30-45 minutes


Graduate studies campus tours – Depart from lawn of Tabaret Hall

Times: 10:15 a.m. (French/bilingual),  1:15 p.m. (English)

Bilingual guided tours of the campus with particular emphasis on areas of interest to graduate students will be offered twice during the day.

Duration: approx 1 hour

Tours of Morisset Library – See the space dedicated especially for graduate students!

Times: 11:30 a.m. (English) & 12:30 p.m. (French/English)

Location: meet in front of the Main Floor Reference Desk, Morriset Library (view map)

Duration: approx. 20 minutes

Visit at your convenience: If you cannot meet for one of the tour times above, you can drop by at your convenience. Take the elevator to the 6th floor to the Reference Desk. Someone would be happy to show you around!

Apply for a travel reimbursement of up to $85!

If you live outside the National Capital Regions (Ottawa-Gatineau), you are eligible to apply for a travel reimbursement of up to $85 to help offset the cost of transportation to the uOttawa campus for our November 3rd Graduate Studies Open House.

To apply for reimbursement, you must:

1. Attend one of the Info Sessions presented on the day of the open house;

2. Bring along proof of residence outside of the National Capital Region.

3. Provide proof of transportation:

  • If you are traveling by bus or train, please present your boarding pass or receipt
  • If you are driving, present a receipt for gas dated ON OR AFTER November 1st, 2011.

Once all of the steps have been completed, a check will be processed and sent to you in the mail to the address you provide.

A reimbursement covers a portion or the entire cost of your trip (up to $85), while providing the flexibility to plan your visit to Ottawa as best suits your schedule.
